Home Sweet Home...

Mummy's coming home. I am going home to my family this week and I can't wait to see them. I've done a good job here and I know I can leave this young pup with some street sense and good manners.

I am going to hand the blog over to the wee man so I can keep tabs on him.
I'll be back for holidays so watch this space...

A note from the foster mum...
This has been a fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone for giving us this opportunity to let Sonny be part of our family, it was an absolute joy. As you can see he was such an influence on us we got a mini Sonny to play with.

See you soon boy...

Water lotta fun...

I took the weeman to the big river today, I think it's time now that he can see above grass height.

It's a good place for finding big sticks, too big for little ones to nab off you - although he does try.

He can see the error of his ways...
Ha, go on then pup, pick it up. Bet you can't do it with out falling over.
He decided not to show himself up in front of the camera.

Total mudness. We love it.

One of the best bits about getting really muddy is the dip in the indoor paddling pool when we get home. Don't be fooled by the shocked expression, I love this really.

Festival season ...

The Peoples had their own Glastonbury this weekend and we all got out best festival gear on for the party. It was great fun and we all stayed up very late playing silly games - sometimes Peoples can be just like puppies.

Now I can’t wait for Pee in the Park!

As you can see below Lochy is growing up very fast but not quite as fast as the grass…

The wee man's big day out...

Little Lochy has had all his jaggies so he can now come out to do real dog stuff. This is his first big walk so he was happy just to follow me around, cute yes, but he can't really keep up because of those wee short legs.

He is growing big time though - like in this photo, I think he looks like he is getting really bigger....

And then sometimes ...
he looks like this... ha ha ha - Where's Wally!

Here's a thing I really like. Carwashy with the truly excellent water rope.

My new best toy...

If you are ever out at the beach and you find one of these - hang on to it, best toy ever.
It's a buoyropey.

I brought it home from the holidays time and it's been great for puppy training - in fact I can do puppy training standing on my hands.

Check out my puddling pool. The very latest in garden accessories for dogs. I love it love it love it. The peoples throw stones in and I jump in and get them. Brilliant.

Wowzer, .. check out the view from the holiday pad.

This is Lochcarron from across the loch and up a hill. Totally dogtastic.

And of course there were beaches.
This is one which the Peoples say is in the Skye, not sure if I believe them.

I go to a lot of beaches so I am thinking I might write something about best beaches for dogs. This is me just getting my thoughts together.

You know when you go on a holiday you bring something back to remind you of the good time you just had. Well I brought this little fellow back.

The peoples say he is as cute as I am handsome and I totally agree. It's my job to teach him everything he needs to know before I go back home. I think I might have my work cut out for me. I found him behind the washy machine this morning!

Another road trip

I have just found out we are off on another road trip today. It's just too exciting. We are going to a place called Lochcarron - I'll tell you all about it when I get back. And the Timmy dog has gone home so I am number one dog again. Today just gets better and better.

Right, no time for blether today I really need to go and pack...

Sunday, May 3, 2009

Well, woof me! This last week has been an experience. We have a lodger, 'Timmy', and to be quite honest I was not sure about the whole thing. He is old and just a bit grumpy. The first couple of days I kept my distance, he didn't really want to play.

But then I remembered what it was like to go somewhere new and not recognise all the smells. So I got used to him and then he got used to me. Now it's good and I have a new friend. I even took him to my favourite fishing spot just to seal the deal.

AND..
the Lawn Moover is back. This time I was ready. I kept the fiend on the lawn the whole time.

...can you believe it, the old codger joined in. Respect!

Just chillin’ with some sounds…
Still working this thing out, not sure if I like it or not. I think I prefer the Hoover Groove myself, it's a much more challenging sound don't you think?

I have been outside all weekend helping the Peoples in the garden, chasing the lawn moover (the outside Hoover) and duelling with the big brown wheelie bins. Very tiring work you know - I deserve a good long snooze so I will keep this short...
zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Oops, sorry - I dozed off there.

Meet the Road Trip Posse.
Working from left to right the pack is as follows: Snoopy the Sassy Patterdale, Toby the Thinker, Poppy the fun luvin Posh Pooch (they are both from Tibet) - and Moi.

Here are some of the outtakes from that photo session. We were takin the right mick out the Peoples while they tried to get all four of us to sit together.

Snoop Dog makes for the biscuits while I pull a face for the lens.

Snoopy and I have got this pegged. She does the roly poly and I pull another funny face. The Peoples fell for it hook, line and sinker -
Total Biscuit Fest.

Poppy was getting a bit board here so I did one of my funny walks to entertain her.

Check out the movie. We are at the Spey in Boat of Garten - I am having a bit of a flirt with my two babes.

Shadow Dog and me having fun on the beach at Findhorn.
He follows me everywhere and always wants to play the same games as me. Loyalty is great - I offer it up in spades so it's always nice to get a bit back.

One of the Peoples has been a bit poorly so I have been showing off my good bedside manners and I even got dressed for the occasion.

Apparently I look a bit like Dr Drake Ramoray.

I have been for a big walk in the hills today with another new friend called Snoopy who is going on a road trip with me next weekend. Apparently there will be another 2 friends there called Toby and Poppy. Sounds like it could be quite an adventure. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have also learned how to stay cool in the car - take the woof off!

I wear a special seatbelt so you don't need to worry about me.

What a week. The sun was out so I have been for extra long walks and I have even been for a paddle. I was going to go the whole hog and have a swim but it was darn cold in there. I have also been to see 'work', this place that the peoples go to so I can have long naps in the house. It's just like a house but with no toys and way way more peoples in it.

I have a new friend called 'Rusty' who lives somewhere over the back wall. Him and I get together quite a lot for a chat...

He is a funny guy, we roll around laughing for ages sometimes.

For those of you who don't believe that I write this myself just check out one of the many Blogs for Dogs - bloomin' 'eck! So I'm thinking "I am male and I have access to the internet, what shall I search for now" -
Bitches of course - so many Bitches so little time.

If you are not having much luck with your love life then you could try this: http://www.doggydate.com
Although I personally have no problem with the ladies I did find this a very interesting concept. It will probably go global when someone invents the Smellinet.

Here I am enjoying a big walk in the hills. Lots of snow and mud mud mud. It was great.
My instinktyness was kicking in and I was strangely drawn to the round woolly creatures just beyond the walls. Apparently only the other Sonny’s that live on the farm are allowed in there so I left them alone - which must have been the right decision because I got a biscuit.

As you all know I am getting to know my new family and home and I was surprised to find that the people here, just like my own family, have an IronBoarder who lives in the kitchen cupboard. This is a strange choice of pet but obviously more common than I thought. Why anybody would want this gangly, skinny, flat topped hairless beastie I have no idea. I don't like the way it just stands there while it gets petted - they rub it's back, back and forward back and forward - sometimes for ages. It doesn't even move when I bite its stupid skinny legs - what's that all about?

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Hi, my name is Sonny and I will be staying with my new foster family - Claire, Colin and Kyle - while my family are away. I will be posting all my news so my family can see what I am up to and how I am getting along with my new friends.

This is my first day in my new home and I'm sure I will like here - there are nice big windows just at the right height for doggies to watch the world go by. I'm liking these and think I will probably pass a few hours just looky looking.

My vocabulary is quite extensive for a dog so when I heard the word 'park' I did the K9 dance recognised around the world, you know, the one that means 'Yes, please'. So I have been there and it looks promising but it was dark and even a big brave lad like me has limits.

I think I will spend the rest of the night exploring and sniffing my new pad.
Don't worry about me mummy, or you Abbie. I will be just fine.
Back soon...
